BIOGRAPHY

James Roday was born James Roday Rodriguez on April 4, 1976 in San Antonio, Texas. His father was in charge of VIP visitors at Lackland Air Force Base and his mother worked in special education. James found it hard to make friends as a result of his family moving so often, but when he was twelve, his family left the base and James decided he wanted to be an actor. He eventually studied theater at New York University and graduated with a degree in fine arts. He did several theater productions before he got cast for the pilot of "Home", a show for NBC that never made it on the air. From there, James went on to find roles in other television pilots and independent films. He currently is the star of USA Network's "Psych".
